Brandon Mills
Trustee
I recently retired as the Head Teacher of a local special school, where my focus was on developing, changing, and improving the outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including their access to employment. My involvement with Ways into Work began over 10 years ago when I was Deputy Head at Brookfields School.
We formed a partnership to develop and deliver a successful supported internship programme that significantly improved the employment prospects for many young people with SEND. With extensive experience in educational leadership, training, SEND, working with families, and safeguarding, I have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this sector.
As a Trustee of Ways into Work, I bring expertise in education, safeguarding, and transformational partnerships, along with a commitment to ensuring that young people with SEND have access to a high-quality, person-centred supported employment service that empowers them to achieve their potential in the workplace
