This is an exciting opportunity to join our passionate team as an Employment Coach supporting individuals with disabilities or disadvantages to identify their skills and support their journey into paid employment across the Reading locality in Berkshire . Find out more here .


Make a real difference to someone’s life - are you committed to Improving diversity and inclusion locally?

Starting salary £27,000 per annum full time, rising to £27,500 per annum after successful probation

Full time preferred but 30 hours per week considered


Key responsibilities are:

 

  • Working with individuals on a one-to-one basis in the community, to identify their aspirations, the unique skills they have and match those with local employers to ultimately secure paid work
  • Engage with clients and their circle of support 
  • Creating or working to client development plans
  • Provide travel training if relevant
  • Liaising with employers to fill vacant positions and support their quest for a diverse work force
  • Update and maintain client records and provide data for reporting as required.

 


Profile

The successful candidate will need to have the following skills and experience:

 

  • Excellent communication skills, energy and enthusiasm
  • Competency in using varied IT systems accurately
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to balance the needs of clients, employers and us!
  • A resilient and pragmatic approach to dealing with people and occasionally challenging situations
  • Locally based with a full UK driving licence and daily access to a car is essential
  • A successful enhanced DBS would be required (paid for by us).
  • Knowledge of disability or HR procedures is beneficial but not essential as training is provided
  • Most importantly a sense of humour, someone who share our values and wants to make a real difference to someone’s life
