Another Supported Internship success story

Changing Lives, One Job at a Time

Milly's Story

We met Milly in early 2025 and supported her to explore a career path that matched her strengths, goals, and interests. She started our Route to Recruit Supported Internship at Legoland in September 2025 and with the support of her Employment Coach, has successfully applied for a paid role. Not only that, we’re delighted to share that just two months after starting her new paid role - Milly was awarded Legoland's 'Star of the Month'!

Milly’s mum said: “This Supported Internship with Ways into Work has demonstrated that young adults with higher support needs can thrive in meaningful employment. The team took the time to understand Milly’s aspirations for her career development and successfully matched her with the perfect role at the Legoland Hotel.

“Throughout her journey, Milly has been fully supported by her employment coach, Leanne, who has helped her build confidence, recognise her strengths, and develop a level of independence she never knew she had. I cannot recommend this service highly enough.”

Well done Milly - we're proud of you and thank you LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort for giving Ways into Work the chance to demonstrate again that employing a diverse workforce is a WIN:WIN for young people with barriers to employment and for Employers as well.
