Join The Opportunity Circle and help drive inclusive employment

Changing Lives, One Job at a Time

Partnership working with the OCU Group

We’re proud to announce the launch of The Opportunity Circle - an exclusive new corporate partnership initiative bringing together employers committed to creating inclusive employment opportunities and driving meaningful social impact.

It has been designed to unite like-minded organisations that recognise the value of supported employment and are passionate about opening pathways into work for individuals who face barriers to employment. Through collaboration, shared learning and purposeful action, members will play a key role in shaping a more inclusive workforce across the Thames Valley.

We are delighted to welcome OCU Group as the first founding member of The Opportunity Circle.  OCU Group, which provides energy transformation and utilities infrastructure services, has demonstrated a strong commitment to social value and inclusive employment, making them a natural partner in this initiative.

Members of The Opportunity Circle will benefit from:

  • Access to a trusted network of forward-thinking employers
  • Opportunities to share best practice and insights
  • Invitations to exclusive networking and learning events
  • Participation in collaborative initiatives that support individuals into long-term employment

The initiative will also host a programme of events, including networking opportunities and fundraising challenges, designed to strengthen connections and maximise impact.

Our CEO, Maurice George, said:  “The Opportunity Circle represents an exciting step forward in bringing together employers who are committed to making a real difference.  We are delighted to launch the club with OCU Group as our first member.  Their leadership and dedication to inclusive employment set the tone for what this partnership can achieve.”

This commitment is already being put into practice.  OCU Group recently hosted mock interviews, helping young people build confidence, develop skills and gain real insight into the world of work - breaking down barriers and creating genuine pathways into employment.

Paul Armer, Framework Director at OCU Group, added:  “We are proud to be the first member of The Opportunity Circle.  Supporting initiatives that create access to meaningful employment aligns closely with our values.  We look forward to working alongside other organisations to drive positive change across the region.”

Saad, from Slough, who took part in a mock interview at OCU Group, said:  “The experience helped me feel much more confident about interviews.  I now have a better understanding of what employers are looking for and had the chance to practise answering questions in a supportive environment.  I now feel more prepared and motivated to take the next step into employment.”

Ways Into Work was a part of the recent CVS Slough event at Singh Sabha, where our colleague Rahma and Monica joined other incredible organisations, all working towards one shared goal: improving the wellbeing of our community. 🤝 A huge congratulations to Asma Aziz on her appointment as Chief Executive Officer of CVS Slough! Her inspiring leadership brought the event together, highlighting the power of unity and collaboration. From meaningful discussions to a fun and thoughtful quiz session, we were able to share ideas, listen, and learn from others including Turning Point, Frimley Health, Youth Parliament, and many more. It was truly energising to see how aligned we all are in our missions.💙
