Supported Internships make sense!

Changing Lives, One Job at a Time

Another employer joins the Route to Recruit Supported Internship rollout for 21-22

We are so pleased to welcome Make/Sense Theatre on board.  They are joining the fast growing collection of employers on our Route to Recruit Supported Internship who are dedicated to supporting young people who face barriers in securing employment.

The Make Sense Theatre supported internship is our first 'performing arts' sector internship so we are really thrilled to have them on board. Supported Internships provide young people with a disability the opportunity to enrol at college but spend the majority of time in the workplace, supported by the Employer and a Ways into Work Employment Coach.  These programs are really successful in ultimately getting young people into paid work by upskilling them through the internship year by layering up skills and teaching them about what an employer expects.

Our thanks go to the team at Make Sense Theatre for working with us to Change Lives One Job at a Time.  One young person is joining them in September and we are looking forward to seeing the progress that this talented young man from Brookfields SEN School will undoubtedly make.  We will check back on this later.
